This Southern boy (at Graceland) In 2024 we visited Graceland and I read Elvis’ biography. Fame comes with a price. Wet ’n’ wild are water parks in the USA. We visited one in 1988 in Las Vegas. Combined with the pool I built in our garden last summer ánd the name of my wife, it lead to this song. Pop-rock feat. Simon (and Patrick as backing vocal).

Like tumbleweed Nick Drake made three albums around 1970 - they flopped then, to be discovered 30 years later as genius. For him that was too late: he overdosed in 1974, at 26 years of age. I didn’t use his gloomy sound and almost whispering singing - though it would suit the lyrics, about being played around by circumstances and depressions - but I did use chords that he loved. Also he liked odd measures: this one is in 7/8 and 6/8. Pop/folk feat. Simon AI

Full moon I wrote this in 1998, wondering if I, as a young dad, could respond to the advances of an adventurous teenage girl. I didn’t - as opposed to another guy about 20 years earlier. The song has tempo changes (8/8 - 5/8 - 6/8) that I maybe should work on some more :-).
